Global Classroom offers many credits options depending on the course

  1. College Credit - High School Students and Professional Development
  2. Graduate Credit - Teachers and Adult Learners
  3. Continuing Education Units (CEU's) - Professional Development
  4. ACT 48 Credit - Pennsylvania Only - All Courses Approved
  5. ACT 45 Credit - Pennsylvania Only - Leadership Program
  6. Professional Learning Units (PLU) - Georgia K12 Teachers Only

College credit

College credit courses are primary for students seeking college credit to use as transfer credits. The courses are available to high school seniors and school districts as part of Global Classroom dual enrollment program and adults for professional development.

  • Courses approved University of Vermont provide semester credits

Graduate Credit

Graduate courses are appropriate for all teachers and school administrators seeking graduate credits for recertification or to transfer credit to a local college or university.

Global Classroom provides graduate credit through Southern New Hampshire University and Western Oregon University. Both universities are regionally accredited and provide teachers with an opportunity to take a course from Global Classroom and receive graduate credit after the successful completion of their course.

  • Courses approved by Western Oregon University provide quarterly credits (note: 3 quarter credits will convert to 2 semester credits)
  • Courses approved by Southern New Hampshire University provide semester credits

ACT 48 Credits (Pennsylvania only - PDE Statewide Approval Numbers)

The Pennsylvania Department of Education has provided statewide ACT 48 approval of ALL Global Classroom courses as part of a partnership with Midwestern IU IV, Delaware IU 25, Carbon-Lehigh IU 21, Northwest Tri-County IU 5, Lancaster-Lebanon IU 13, Riverview IU 6 and Pittsburgh-Mt Oliver IU 2.

Professional Learning Units (PLU's) (Georgia only)

The Georgia Department of Education has approved all teacher college courses for statewide approval. A teacher needs: Georgia Prior Approval form and the Georgia Course completion form. For more information contact Student Services.

Certificate of Achievement or Continuing Education Units (CEU)

One Continuing Education Unit (CEU) represents 15 contact hours of instruction. As an example, a 3 CEU credit course provides 45 contact hours of instruction.

All Global Classroom students are provided with a Certificate of Career Achievement upon the successful completion of a course or learning program.
